Tennis on Jeopardy.

  1. Bit scary about where tennis stands in the general consciousness. I mean these are people that know EVERYTHING trivial and one of them hadn't heard of Laver and the other couldn't spell it right.

  2. Well, first, CnP, you have to think -- Jeopardy is an American show, and you know us American tennis fans are comparatively few in number, though we promote tirelessly.

Also, you could quote Spinal Tap's manager and just say the sport's appeal over here is "more selective". :-D

And let's think positive here - he did at least know who he was!

(Although. Surround-Sound in 1925? LOL. Jesse, you might be almost as cute as Rafa, but you're not quite as smart. :-) )

  3. Let's put it this way, if I were to ask my neighbour [a consultant physician] anything about tennis, he'd most likely look at me with a blank expression! Not so different here.

Chip, anyone - Are separate keyboards which can be connected to a USB port effective? Do I need a model compatible with my computer brand? My keypad [spacebar/backspace has died, thank goodness for the on-screen keypad to help out]. I understand this is a common problem with laptops. Thanks in advance.

  4. just my luck , if I was on Jeopardy and the final was " Sports Venues" it would be about arenas where there was boxing, or mud wrestling or basketball
